Between Village and Mountain
Villavallelonga appears in striking contrast to the landscape that surrounds it. The church bell tower rises at the edge of the village, a quiet human marker against the immense dark slopes beyond. Above them, Monte Velino and the snow-covered peaks of the Apennines dominate the horizon. Between the small scale of the village and the vastness of the mountains we find the enduring character of Villavallelonga.
